The Romanian expedition to Greenland (1927—1928) was carried out under the auspices of the French Geographical Society and the Royal Belgian Geographical Society, with funds provided by the Geographical Society of Philadelphia, the Explorers' Club of New York, and the University of Michigan (USA).
