Arron Monkman is a British camera assistant and focus puller. Monkman has more than seven years of experience, including over four years as a clapper loader across a range of productions, working with 16 mm, 35 mm, and digital formats.
Monkman began his career during a period when 16 mm film stock was still common. One of his most celebrated credits is the short film Wee King of Nowhere (2016). Together with cinematographers Benjamin Pritchard and D'Arcy MacLean, Monkman won two awards for Best Cinematography in a Short Film: the West Europe International Film Festival in 2021 and the World Independent Cinema Awards in 2021.
Monkman has taken on a range of roles within the camera department, including clapper loader, second assistant camera, and first assistant camera (focus puller). His work spans feature films, television dramas, and commercial productions, with credits including The Limehouse Golem (2016), Dark River (2017) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024).
