Arya Datta is a young Filmmaker and current student at Fordham University at Lincoln Center. Arya was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where he has been making films and other creative projects since he was in elementary school. Arya’s work stands out for its unique and youthful lens through which he tells his stories, commonly pairing mature themes with stunning and immersive visuals. Arya began creating videos on his youtube channel “The Arya Show”, where he wrote and produced skits, collaborating with his friends and family alike. He now uploads his works on Youtube and Instagram (for now) at sue8de. Arya takes inspiration from a wide variety of directors, painters, musicians, and writers alike. Some notable names who Arya cites as inspiring him include Stanley Kubrik, Spike Lee, Mac Miller, Jean-Luc Godard, Satyajit Ray, David Bowie and many others. Arya enjoys making films with that provide an unparalleled look into stories from his generation, although limiting him to just a filmmaker doesn't account for the numerous realms of creativity he plans to dive into in his promising future.
