b. 1997, Mexico City.

Mexican photographer and filmmaker working between journalism and art, with a focus on the history of my homeland.

After surviving kidnapping and torture in 2020, I began documenting grave human rights violations in Mexico, working through collaborative and intimate processes. My ongoing project A SOLID HOME explores enforced disappearance, state terrorism, and systemic violence in Mexico through still and moving images.

In 2025, I was a finalist for the National Magazine Award in Best Overall Photography for my New York Times op-ed LOOKING FOR THE MISSING PEOPLE OF MEXICO, and was nominated for the World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. My projects have been adapted into several op-eds for The New York Times.

My work has been exhibited internationally, including my first solo exhibition at the Rayburn House Office Building of the United States Congress in Washington D.C. (2024), organized by Amnesty International and the National Security Archive. ECOS, my first major show in Mexico, is currently on view alongside work by Graciela Iturbide & Musuk Nolte.

I recently completed post-production of my first documentary film, I REMEMBER. I received the Jan Mulder Scholarship to attend ICP’s One-Year Certificate Program in Photojournalism (2023) after earning a B.A. in Film Directing at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. I have studied under numerous photographers, including Antoine D'Agata, Sohrab Hura, Newsha Tavakolian, among others.
