Nate, during a night out with Jeff, can't stop obsessing over his ex, Joey. Later that night, Nate gets creative during a sleazy hookup and bumps into some unwelcome company.

Nate hosts a very DIY brunch at his place with Jeff, plus Andy and his newly-minted boyfriend Brian. Nate's phone experiences an unfortunate malfunction.

Nate begrudgingly accepts an invite from Joey to meet up for coffee; an unexpected stranger intervenes.

Jeff drunkenly reveals an inconvenient secret to Nate; estranged best friend Nicole visits from New York; an evening with them together triggers an emotional memory.

In a flashback, Nate and Joey meet for the first time.

Brian shows off his fancy apartment to Nate and Jeff when they come over for mimosas; tensions between Nate and Jeff escalate; Nate discovers the truth of Brian’s relationship with Andy.

Nate and Jeff finally confront the elephant in the room; they spend the day drinking together and end up…in bed.

eff makes a decision; Andy confides in Nate over his relationship, which takes them to a breaking point.
