Mata Hari - Season 1

Mata Hari is arrested on suspicion of treason. Before her trial she is questioned thoroughly and recalls her childhood and her only marriage, albeit with slight exaggerations.

As Mata Hari realizes she is stuck in jail until the end of her trial, she recounts the circumstances leading up to her divorce and her on/off again relationship with the German nobleman Alfred Kiepert.

The endless interrogation is starting to affect Mata Hari, yet she still refuses to acknowledge her guilt. She recalls a bad experience at a boarding school and her greatest successes as an exotic dancer.

Mata Hari finally recounts the details of her activities as spying for France - but never against her, as her prosecutors want to prove.
