Lauren moves to Gatineau University, and finds friction with both her roommate and her coach. Sadie works in a garage, and meets two people she hasn’t seen in awhile. The sisters remember a party….

Sadie looks forward to spending the day with Saul, but winds up meeting someone from their past she wished she hadn't, and Lauren's relationship with her coach gets more precarious - both of which bring up memories of an ill-fated driving lesson.

Lauren's position on the basketball team grows more tenuous, and she tries to confide in Sadie, but has trouble getting in touch. Meanwhile, Sadie faces the reality of her conversations with Jeremy. The sisters recall a school event that didn't go as planned.

Sadie visits Lauren in Montréal and gets a crash course in her sister's life, from indifferent teammates to her prickly roommate Harriet. But dinner with Harriet and Maya reveals surprising secrets - and Sadie's secret plan causes problems.

While Lauren steels herself to talk to her basketball coach about how to improve their relationship, Sadie deals with trouble at home - with a little help from Jeremy.

At home on winter break, Lauren and Sadie must help with a community dinner - complicated by the fact that they're not speaking to each other right now.

Sadie has an unexpected day off and gets an unexpected nudge toward her future. Meanwhile, Lauren finally lets all her frustration out on the basketball court - and gets a surprising reception when she gets back home.

Sadie finally gets the opportunity to sneak off to a private meeting in Montréal, but when Lauren learns Sadie lied to her, she finds her sister - and they finally tell each other all the truths they've been saving up, unvarnished, in a fight they might not be able to come back from.
