Aphonia

The shock of a stroke leaves Cassandra with psychogenic aphonia and her brothers' overprotectiveness, preventing her from fully overcoming her accident. Poetry becomes her only refuge, but reveals a dire prophecy. To fully reclaim her voice, Cassandra will have to assert herself in the face of those who define her only by her fragility.
