The first film adaptation of the musical of the same name written by Pasi Jääskeläinen and composed by Emil Kauppi. In this musical comedy, sailors sailing to Finland on a sailing ship pass the time by making a bet: whoever is the last to bring a girl to the Kultaisen Ankkuri restaurant has to pay for the whole evening. In the port town, Arvi Rajanne falls in love with the charming Kerttu.
